Tua Tagovailoa head injury

Unfortunately, I must write a follow up to my previous post on Tua Tagovailoa.  I stated that that he was concussed on Sunday, but the team treated him as if he wasn’t (back and leg).  If it was correct that he was concussed and was treated as if he wasn’t it could have resulted in him being more vulnerable to another head injury.  The obvious head injury that occurs on 9/29/22 may have been avoided with appropriate management of the first injury.  It’s hard to keep someone out of the game when they clear quickly but this is an example of why we protect the athlete even when they clear quickly.  Wishing him a speedy recovery and I hope that he fully recovers before returning to the field.
